Today 1100am Went to the Pos Office Ipoh, still available to purchase. So crowded is not because of peoples buying this issue of stamp, is because of today is the last day offer 50% discount for summon payment... crazy crowded... look at the picture...

I brought my cover to the POSNIAGA counter to take the First Day cancellation, met a friendly guy... a very clssic look with midium long hair and wore a hat like Kampung style, yooh... he shown me his hands got the FootBall Chop on his wrist, talkative guy after that he given me his name card... fully of antique & collection blogs indicate into the card, after I finished read his card, finally I would say he is an "ANTIQUE MAN" ... I quick check on his few blogs, u will find out he is very active in antique, numismatic & philately field... Nice to know this guy .. check it out here

Malang is the second largest city in East Java province, Indonesia. It has an ancient history dating back to the Mataram Kingdom. The city population at the present time is around 780,000. During the period of Dutch colonization, it was a popular destination for European residents. The city is famous for its cool air and the surrounding country regions of Tumpang, Batu, Singosari, and Turen. People in East Java sometimes call it "Paris of East Java." Malang was spared many of the effects of the Asian financial crisis, and since that time it has been marked by steady economic and population growth.

History

Hundreds, even thousands of years ago before Malang became the second biggest city in East Java, Malang used to be the centre of government of the Kanjuruhan and Singhasari Kingdom. In the following era, Malang regency became an important place when the government of Mataram Kingdom took hold of the area, making it the largest regency in East Java and since then the development of Malang regency has increased well.

The history of Malang Regency could be revealed through the Dinoyo inscription 760 AD as the primary official document to support the birth of Malang before a new inscription was discovered in 1986, which is so far not yet revealed. According to the inscription, it was concluded that the 8th century was the beginning of the existence of Malang Regency's government due to the birth of King Gajayana's ruling of his kingdom in Malang. From the Dinoyo inscriptions, it is noted that the inscription used the "Candra Sengkala" or "Cronogram" Calendar, and stated that the birth date of Malang Regency was on Jum'at Legi (sweet Friday) 28 November 760 AD. (L. Damaes: "Studed' Epigraphy d'Indonesia IV. 1952").

The city was incorporated into Mataram in 1614, then transferred to Dutch colonial rule. Malang was transformed under the Dutch; its cool climate which results from its elevation, along with its proximity to the major port of Surabaya, made it a popular destination for Dutch and other Europeans. In 1879, Malang was connected to Java's railroad network, further increasing development and leading to increased industrialization.

Along with growth came urbanization. The government could not satisfy the population’s needs for affordable housing, which lead to the building of shanty towns along the rivers and rail tracks. Up until today, the shanty towns still exist; although some have been transformed into “better” housing.

The year 2010 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Malaysia.
Over the past half a century, the two countries have promoted their friendship, cooperating in various areas such as the economic, social, cultural and human exchange fields. In celebration and commemoration of this 50th anniversary, Korea Post and its Malaysian counterpart, Pos Malaysia Bhd are issuing, through joint works undertaken over one year, a joint stamp featuring tigers of the two countries.
Being endangered throughout the world, tigers vary slightly in their size, color of fur and shapes of stripes, depending on their subspecies. The Siberian Tiger (Panthera tigris altaica), shown in the stamp as roaming the snow-covered forest of pine trees, is also known as the Korean tiger, Amur tiger or Manchuria tiger. Having adapted to the cold environment in frigid as well as temperate zones, it is bulky and biggest in size among the tiger subspecies, with its fur being long and pale colored. In contrast, the Malayan Tiger (Panthera tigris jacksoni), inhabiting the southern section of the Malaysian peninsula, is the smallest, along with the Sumatra tigers, in its size, as a result of adaptation to the jungle environment. Its fur is also shorter and more densely colored, in comparison to the Siberian Tiger.

It would be safe to say that of all the animals Koreans treasure, the tiger comes first. The Baekdusan Mountain tiger, which unfortunately is difficult to see nowadays, was the animal that represented our people, and the 1988 Seoul Olympic Game’s mascot was also “Hodori,”- the tiger. As well displayed by such phrases as “once upon a time, when a tiger was smoking~” and “♬ ~ of the tiger that is referred as the king of the mountain∼” that are hummed along continuously from generation to generation, the tiger has been a close and intimate animal in our day-to-day lives.

Design1: Fai Ta Gad Grass (Drosera peltata Sm.) is an insect-eating, perennial plant which grows from an underground tuber and is 10 to 35 centimeteres high. Each spray of white flowers consists of two or three flowers. The flower branch is about 1 to 2 centimetres long. The sepals are oval in shape and the petals, also oval in shape, are 5 to 6 millimetres in length. Each flower has five staments. The pod, three millimetres in size, is in the shape of shuttle and, when mature, breaks open into three vessels.

Design2: Soa Sanom (Sonerila griffithii C.B. Clarke) is a perennial plant which is 4 to 10 centimetres in height. The main stem is sparsely covered with hair. The thin leaves usually spread along the ground. The flowers consists of three purple petals and three yellow staments. This kind of plant usually grows well in the cracked rocks found in deep forests.

Design3: Euan Hin (Cyanotis arachnoidea Wight) is a perennial plant with a succulent stem. The plant lies parallel to the ground and extends its young buds into the air. The flower ia approximately 1 centimetre in diameter and its stamen is covered with purple hair. It can be found all over the country in any wet soil that is mixed with sand and it yields flowers all year round.

Design4: Proh Phew Nuan (Caulokaempferia saxicola K. Larsen C.B. Clarke) is a perennial plant that lasts for several seasons. It can grow on rocks or on other plants. The main stem is 7.5 to 20.5 centimetres high. Its cluster of deep yellowflowers is at the top of the stem. Each cluster consists of several flowers that bloom one by one. The sepals are connected to form tubes covered with velvety hair. The petals are in the form of narrow tubes, 2-2.5 centimetres in length with their ends split into three parts. Three are two inside petals of creamy yellow colour.

Description : The government of Malaysia is currently promoting the development of energy efficient (EE) buildings in Malaysia by demonstrating several EE buildings. Each of the buildings are incorporated with various types of green features such as heat insulation to minimise the cooling system, use of natural daylight to reduce use of artificial lighting, energy efficient design of the building system to manage the building operation efficiently and rain water harvest system to reduce dependency of treated water from the utility supply. Besides ebergy efficiency, renewable energy feature is also used to generate part of the energy used by the buildings.

The tree EE Buildings showcased in this stamp issue features the degree of efficiency of energy (EE) that has unique attributes to its design, each of the buildings shows a significant improvement of incorporating sustainable features in buildings which showcase the development of sustainable buildings in Malaysia.

Phu Phrabat Historic Park, located in Ban Tiew, Muang Phan, Ban Phue District, Udon Thani Province, has a strong influence over the beliefs of the local people domiciled along the Mekhong River, including both Thai northeasterners and Loatians. Over the years, increasing archeological finds have unearthed over more evidence of previouss eras in and around the vicinity. Residences fasioned from the natural cliff and religious sites, built with both piet and simplicity, have been revealed, unlike other historical park specificially built for the splendor of gods, or kings. Most buildings found, were modified from their natural state, with only a small portion contributed by human inhabitants.

Phra Racha Wang Derm (Thonburi Palace)
After gaining independence from Burma in 1767, King Taksin the Great, had founded Thon buri as the new capital. When King Phra Buddha Yodfah Culaloke, (Rama I) ascended the throne, he moved the Siamese capital to the east bank of the Chao Phraya River and had the Grand Palace built as his residence. Thon Buri Palace, then, became known as "Phra Racha Wang Derm" (the original palace). Today it houses the Royal Thai Navy Headquarters.

The Throne Hall (3.00 Baht Design1) was bulit in 1768 at the same time that Thon Buri was founded as the capital. It was a venue for holding court and important ceremonies during the Thon Buri era.
King Taksin Shrine (3.00 Baht Design2) house a statue of King Taksin the Great, standing with a sword in ond hane.

The Two Chinese-style Residences (Keng Koo Lek and Keng Koo Yai) (3.00 Baht Design3) were built, combining both Thai and Chinese architecture that featured the root with Chinese paintings and window-frames with Thai-style carving.

King Pinklao's Residence (Keng Phra Pin) (3.00 Baht Design4) was built like American architecture. The upper floor was used as Royal residence.

Anemone Fish (Hologram)

Anemonefish, with their spectacular, colorful appearance in orange, red, black, yellow and white stripes in eye-catching, yet unique designs, are usually playful and prefer to live and move in a school. However, they are unable to survive without sea anemones. Here are a few varieties of anemonefish:

1. Clark's Anemonefish (Amphiprion clarkii Bennett) (3.00 Baht Design1) features a black trunk and yellow pectoral and caudal fins, with three white stripes at its head, trunk and tail. The fish, the largest anemonefish in Thailand, are found in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea.

2. False Clown Anemofish (Amphiprion ocellaris Cuvier) (3.00 Baht Design2) is a popular pet fish. Its trunk is orange, or brown, with 3 white stripes at its head, trunk and tail. The white stipes are lined in black. The fish are found in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand around Losin Island in Narathiwat Province.

3. Pink Skunk Crownfish (Amphiprion perideration Bleeker) (3.00 Baht Design 3) feature a bridge, yellow and golden trunk with small white stripes from the eyes to the dorsal fin with one small white stripe at its head. The fish are found in only the Gulf of Thailand.

4. Saddleback Anemonefish (Amphiprion polymnus Linnaeus) (3.00 Baht Designm 4) features a blackish brown trunk with two white stripes behind the eyes and trunk to the dorsal fin, like a saddle. It's often found in2-30-meters-deep sea areas, where sea anemones are present on the seabed. The fish are found only in the Gulf of Thailand.

Each living creature in the world has envolved for their survival according to their natural selection. Plants in areas with scarce water and sunshine have developed into carnivores, catching insects for their own survival.

Nepenthes mirabilis (Lour.) Druce, or pitcher plants, are normally seen in wet forests. They have pitchers to catch insects and the pitchers possess organs to digest the insects. People in Southern Thailand steam rice in the pitchers.

Rafflesia kerrii Meijer is a parasite that lives on the roots of other plants. Its simple flower is quite large and blossoms on the ground. In full bloom, it emits a bad oder to entice flies to pollinate.

Sapria poilanei Gagnep is a plant in the same family as Rafflesia kerrii Meijer that similary lives on the roots of other plants and looks like a cuspidor, pink and Orose.

Drosera burmannii Vahl is a small short-cycle plant without a stem. It often grows in open, rocky ground with high humidity. The plant possosses medicinal properties use to cure ringworm.

Hypoxis aurea Lour. is a small flowering plant, grown in bright sunshine and pine forests. Its golden yellow flowers feature dense petals and it grows profusely in Phataem National Park, Ubon Ratchathani Province between May-June.

Murdannia gigantea (Vahl) G.Bruckn blossoms are high over its stem. Its violet flowers have petals folded down like a cock's comb. Dewdrops may be observed on each flower in the early mornings in Phu Kradueng National Park, especially during October.

Impatiens phulungensis T. Shimizu is a succulent with bright pink flowers, whose delicate petals from the shape of heart. This particular plant is found only in Thailand, especially in Phuluang Wildlife Sanctuary, Loei Province between July-October.

Caulokaempferia alba K.Larsen & R.M. Sm. is another short-cycle plant with rhizomes, grown among grass. Its white flowers resemble butterflies, and may be observed in Phumieng Wildlife Sanctuary in Phitsanulok Province between May-July.
